In his notebooks, Leonardo da Vinci has noted, with numerous sketches, studies, information, some of the anecdotes told to his friends. Here is one of them:
A painter who had some very ugly children, being asked how is it possible that he, who painted such beautiful pictures, has such ugly children, he said that:
"The paintings I have painted the day while the kids and I made at night!"
